VBBC’S MISSION ENGAGEMENT

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”  Matthew 5:14-16

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  Acts 1:8

HOME MISSION AGENCIES THAT WE SUPPORT FINANCIALY:

ATLANTA METRO BAPTIST MINISTRIES:  The Atlanta Metro Baptist Association is a historic association of churches that have partnered together to change the Metro Atlanta Region. Utilizing their unique diversity and missional opportunities, the Atlanta Metro churches will plant churches, renew churches, and engage communities for the gospel of Jesus Christ. The hope of the world resides in the hope of the gospel of Jesus. Our churches are assisted to saturate every heartbeat in every neighborhood of Metro Atlanta with the gospel through a network of discipled influencers connected to multiplying churches.  Three components of our vision include neighborhood understanding, discipled influencer development and multiplying church strengthening.

MISSION AGENCY ON OUR VBBC SITE:

GLOBAL FRONTIER MISSION:  It is our privilege to have GFM leasing office space on our premises and to see the work that they are doing both locally and abroad.

Global Frontier Missions (GFM) is a movement of Christ-centered communities dedicated to mobilizing, training, and multiplying disciples and churches to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the least reached people groups of the earth.  GFM has a 5 month training school right down the road in Clarkston where they prepare missionaries for long-term service by having them serve among the refugees there.

GFM always has had strong convictions that the best way to train missionaries is on-the-job training by actually doing the work of evangelism, discipleship and church planting.  They began engaging Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists in “home hubs” in order to make disciples who will make disciples.  Their goal is to raise up people from these “home hubs” to pray, give, go, welcome and mobilize others strategically to see the remaining 7,000 unreached people groups have access to the Good News of Jesus.  GFM has also spent the last decade seeking out many strategic partnerships with other churches and missions organizations to work together to see the Gospel taken to every tribe, tongue, people and nation.  Check out GFM’s Story:  https://globalfrontiermissions.org/our-story/
